Pavas is a district of the San José County. It is located South of "La Sabana" metropolitan park.
There is a domestic airport called Aeropuerto Tobías Bolaños where many small planes known as "avionetas" take off. The flight school also is located in the same airport. The United States Embassy is in Pavas.
