San Carlos is a very touristic and agricultural cantón in the northern part of Costa Rica, in the province Alajuela. Its main city is Ciudad Quesada. It is the tenth cantón of Alajuela, and has two thirds of its area.

It produces 65% of all the milk of Costa Rica. It also produces
