Coffee Bowl

The Coffee Bowl is a junior tennis event for boys and girls (18 years old and under) played in January each year, and is included in the International Tennis Federation (I.T.F.) Junior Circuit. On September of 2000 the Junior Committee of the ITF awarded this tournament a GROUP A category; equivalent to the Junior edition of the Grand Slams.
The first edition of the "Coffee Bowl" was held in 1965. The tournament has featured throughout the years such outstanding players as Bjorn Borg, Ivan Lendl, Guillermo Vilas, Manuel Orantes, Brian Gottfried, Dick Stockton, Keven Curren, Victor Pecci, Erik Van Dillen, Tomas Smid, John Alexander, Jose Higueras, Harold Solomon, Tommy Haas, Mariano Puerta, Jiri Novac, Nicolas Massu, Arnaud Di Pasquale, Wayne Ferreira, Jana Novotna, Andrea Helikova, Sandra Wasserman, Anke Huber, M. Mroz, Amanda Coetzer, and many other leading players.
