Costanera
From Wiki Costa Rica
Costanera is the name of the road that travels along the pacific coast of Costa Rica, from the town of Jacó, through Quepos, Playa Dominical and down to Palmar Norte, in the southern part of Puntarenas.
It has been a very badly maintained road (no asphalt) for many decades, although it is being reconstructed at the present to allow normal traffic.
It is considered an alternate route to travel to the south part of Costa Rica, along the coast, avoiding the sometimes dangerous pass through mountains of the Cerro de la Muerte.
