Description
The misty mountains of Abangares make a perfect backdrop for the lodge. It's a perfect place to relax in harmony with nature, as you soak in the crystal-clear thermal pools, take a turkish bath and cool off in the spring-fed swimming pool. The 140-acre eco-friendly property, is located in the northwestern province of Guanacaste, in La Sierra de Abangares, a historical gold rush town. Is an ideal spot to overnight after a visit to Monteverde or a visit to one of Guanacaste's beaches.
The rooms are rustically designed in pine and cedar, spacious, high-ceilinged, airy and well appointed with confortable double beds, tiled bathrooms, ample hot-water showers, closets, bedside reading lamps and quiet ceiling fans.
The balconies are furnished with wooden benches that offer views of the canyon and mountains beyond.
You can choose to delight your palate at the poolside bar and restaurant or at the formal restaurante that offers both indoor and outdoor seating. You will find a variety of snacks and tasty international and Costa Rican cuisine.
You can walk down a trail to the lagoon, home to water birds and amphibians, or trek aside the Abangares River. Located in a transition zone the property is a habitat for more than a hundred species of birds to delight birdwatchers.
