Tarcoles
From Wiki Costa Rica
Rio Grande de Tárcoles is one of the main rivers that crosses the Central Valley of Costa Rica.
It is highly contaminated since most of the sewage of the metropolitan area drains into it. Nevertheless, it is home to a large community of crocodiles, as can be seen under the bridge of the Costanera highway, on the way to Jaco. Usually, large numbers of cars are parked near the bridge, these are tourists observing the crocodiles. This bridge is located just beside Palo Verde National Park.
These crocodiles are featured in a documentary in Animal Planet channel, "Killer Crocs of Costa Rica" [1].

Tips and recommendations
To see the crocodiles moving, usually there are people selling pieces of bread in order to feed them.
Due to the large number of tourists in that location, theft has been on the rise. Vehicles should be locked and possessions should be carefully guarded. If possible, do not leave valuable items and documents in the car seats, but in the trunk. The best would be to have someone present and never leave cars unattended.
Due to the contamination of the water in the river, it is not advised to be in contact with it.
